I took my first
driving lesson with Duncan in January 2004. I was keen to pass my driving test because I had two young sons. I was
really looking forward to the freedom that a full driving licence would give me so I decided to ask around my friends
for some names of local Carlisle driving instructors. Duncan was highly recommended to me
by several people so I decided to give him a call and arrange a lesson with him.
I was very nervous on my
first lesson, however, Duncan put me at my ease straight away and gave me all the reassurance I needed and after a few hours on the road the lessons became very rewarding and my
confidence grew quickly.
Duncan made a point of teaching me something new every lesson and I felt that I had achieved
something significant. The course of lessons went well and I soon passed my theory test.
My practical test was booked for the March and Duncan started giving me mock driving tests, starting off from the
test centre. This gave me insight to what I would be facing when I actually sat my test.
I
was very nervous on my test date but Duncan put me at ease and gave me some good tips to help me with my concentration and
to take my mind off my nerves.
Supported by Duncan’s patience,
and his years of teaching experience, my test went really well and I managed to pass first time.
